Establishing Home Ownership & Revitalizing Low Income Communities in Illinois Since 2006

Emergency Low-Income Heating/Cooling Assistance Program

This program allows Illinois residents to voluntarily contribute money to help pay for emergency heating and cooling costs for needy Illinois residents that have experienced a major setback or extreme emergency.

Priority assistance is given to low-income seniors, people with disabilities, and to families that have children under the age of 5 who have experienced a major setback and would like to obtain a little comfort this season.

Contributions donated go directly to low-income residents of the county from which funds were donated and are 100% tax deductible.

We would also like to thank the following organizations for helping us to strengthen this program:

  • Community Foundation for the Land of Lincoln King's Daughters Organization Fund provided funding to assist the heating/cooling needs of senior citizens 55 years old and above that reside in Sangamon County.
  • Community Foundation for the Land of Lincoln Hanson Family Fund provided funding to assist the heating/cooling needs of low-income seniors, people with disabilities, and families that have children under the age of 5.

If you are in need of emergency heating and cooling assistance and would like to participate in this program.  Please enter your contact information below and one of our housing counselors will contact you promptly.

Thank you so much for helping me out. I had 9 surgeries plus 26 weeks of daily cancer treatment for the past 2 years. It makes it difficult to work. It has been difficult to pay bills. Thanks again.

I wanted to say thank you so much for your assistance with my CWLP bill. I am a single mother of three children and appreciate the assistance that your organization has provided me.

You have an awesome Asst. Program for people like me. I'm waiting on S.S.I. benefits and since my wife passed away Oct. of 2001 the life ins. policy she left me is gone. I was getting asst. from Cap. Township, which only lasts six mo, it expired this mo. I'm between a rock and a hard place. Your asst. was greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello, I am a home care provider by profession..and greatly appreciate the help I received. At one time I worked at the Kings Daughters Home PRN until they closed. Presently my financial picture has taken another turn for the worst. So if there are any other programs I can join and even volunteer in order to give back..I'd love that. Thank you.

GOD is good, all the time, even when you think he's not. He always is good. I remember a friend told me of a program called Comfort Living And Associates who helps older people 50+ and up. I could not afford to miss my payment plan or I would be deleted and have to wait another year for a gas payment plan. I just cried. It's hard at times. I asked myself please GOD I need help. My bill is $600.00 behind, I'm disabled and raising my 12 year old grandson. I can't afford my utilities to go off. So, I called Comfort Living And Associates and the staff talked to me and said to fax in my information. I was so happy. Within 24 hours they paid my bill. I'm now back on track, my payment was lowered to $38.00 a month with Ameren, because I avoided a collision of disaster. The devil is a liar. With GOD's help - thru Comfort Living And Associates - I let my other senior friends know GOD is good all the time. Thank you for the immediate response from you all. You don't know me and yet, you all helped me. I love you all. Sincerely, Thank You!!

When I called you guys I was in desperate need of help. I was suprised by how quickly you guys responded back when I left a message. You guys were very nice and patient with me. I just wanna say I thank you and appreciate what was done for me and my family to get me back on track with everything. You guys are amazing and you came right when I needed you. Thank you. And I thank GOD for you. GOD Bless you..

Thank you!!
Here are a few lines to send my appreciation to you for the help you sent me in the form of assisting me with my gas bill so I could get to a better place. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Me and my animals really are thankful to you. GOD Bless you and yours!!

CLA, your organization was truly a blessing to me in my time of need. On July 2, 2011 my debit card was stolen and all of the money in the account was taken leaving me unable to buy food or pay my utilities. Your help was God sent.
